NOR*FAB Series 400 braided sleeving is manufactured in one style and two wall thicknesses. It is made using para-aramid fibers spun over a strong fiberglass core yarn. These sleevings, or tubular form of textiles, are widely used over electrical leads, cables and other conductors to provide abrasion resistance as well as fire protection.

NOR*FAB woven sleeving is manufactured in two styles. The Series 400 sleeving is para-aramid fibers over fiberglass core yarn. Series 1200 is produced using a combination of PBI*fiber and cardable glass fibers spun over a fiberglass core yarn. These sleevings, or tubular form of textiles, are widely used over electrical leads, cables and other conductors to provide abrasion resistance as well as fire protection. There are many other uses to which these products are applied.

Series 1200 Specifications:

  • 3/32″ Wall Thickness, all diameters
  • 5/16″ to 1 1/2″ I.D. A blend of PBI (Polybenzimidazole) fibers and cardable glass overa a fiberglass core yarn

Series 400 Specifications:

  • 1/16″ Wall Thickness, all diameters
  • 3/8″ to 2″ I.D. 100% para-aramid (such as Kevlar®) over fiberglass core yarn
